Deano, Found it intersting and posted it. I DO know that there are several people who are claiming illness from that site. I thought it was very clever to refer to what they are experiencing as "The Downey Syndrome". A couple of articles about it, linked from this article: http://la.indy media.org/news/2008/08/219391.php Also, I don't think that it is true at all, that no one is listening. "Illness and brownfields" is always a topic that has many twists and turns because there is so much legislature that it takes to turn a brownfield into a buildable site. This one looks particularly complicated because you have a hospital on the site and a major motion picture studio with workers continually building sets, etc...as I understand it. As an example that some brownfields may not be as clean or safe as one would want, below is info of another one out of the UK. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/3014336.stm Wonder what the percentage of brownfields is where there are no reports of increased illness to those where there are reports.
