Companies that make outrageous warranty claims using spray on products that interrupt the building
process are missing the boat. There is no silver bullet when it comes to mold prevention.
Moisture problems can be kept in check by having a good understanding of the problem and by paying
careful attention during construction and by using mold resistant products.

Products like Georgia Pacific DensArmor paperless wallboard, Nu-Wool insulation, Temple Inlands
StructGuard sheathing and Ipalco-A.P.T. MoldBlock Framing Lumber can be incorporated to create a
complete mold resistant wall assembly.

Protect the exterior envelope of the structure using mold resistant products and common sense
construction practices. There is no need for messy cumbersome surface applied chemicals that
require additional crews and cost a lot of money.

Mold Prevention doesn’t have to be expensive or inconvenient.
