Having cleaned up several remediation attempts that used
soda blasting, I can say that soda in the presence of
moisture on metal surfaces will cause deterioration, no lab
data supports the notion that soda blasting kills mold, no
EPA registration supports the notion that soda kills mold,
blasting only aerosolizes and spreads mold contamination,
and blasting drives mold spores deeper into porous surfaces.
The only folks who seem to push soda blasting are those
selling the equipment, and those gullible enough to have
purchased the equipment who need to find customers gullible
enough to agree to use the process.
Forget soda blasting it's a waste of time and money.
