Re: Dr. Ritchie Shoemaker
Posted by Janice on 3/29/05

Whoever this guy is who says Dr. Shoemaker is a quack and gives vooddoo
medicine obviously doesn't have the ill effects to know that doctors can't
and won't deal with people like us. They're too arrogant and only work
for the corporations and Big Pharma's, who own the medical schools.

Doctors rarely even test for parasites, and when they do they can only
fine 10%, they deny that pesticides and chemicals lead to accelerated
aging and environmental illnesses, because they would be in trouble with
    the American Medical System.

People complain about second hand smoke, yet they fail to complain about
all the chemicals we breathe in our air everyday. How long did it take
society to realize smoking was dangerous, and what about asbesto's? And
how come people have hard-wood floors now instead of carpeting everywhere?
Remember the Love Canal? Toxins and chemicals are manufactured by
companies. Drugs cause side effects because they are foreign to the body!
Mainstream medicine has primarily been bellowing out drugs over the last
60 years, and it's primarily been in the last 80 years that people have
been polluting the environment, AND in the last 50/60 years we're been
eating processes foods, which have hydrogenated and trans-fatty acids
which the human body can't naturally digest.

Margarine for example is one molecule away from plastic. If you put a tub
of margaine in the garage and leave it there, the flies won't even go near it!

Why was Kava Kava demolished from health stores, yet thousands of kids are
committing suicide or going loopy from the effects of anti-depressent's,
and doctors still hand them out? The power of the Pharmaceutical
companies are so huge, that politics can't fight it, because it's members
of the elite, like Cheney for example who is one that own or chair these
    companies.

Don't mock Dr. Shoemaker, because it's the alternative doctors that know
far more about the human body than mainstream medicine, and people with
cases of environmental illnesses need the medicine normally given to vets
because those medications to the job.

Mainstream Medical Doctors do not follow the hippocratic oath, if they did
they wouldn't continue ignoring our pleas to help us, and they would
listen the there would be some research and they would learn more, but
it's a political money issue, and you don't know what your taking about!

    > Dear Mr. Greg Weatherman, I have been following Shoemaker for quit
    > some time now and know several people he's treated. The bottom line is
    > that this doctor is dangerous. Don't believe me? He just recently
    > received a warning letter from the FDA about his prescribing the
    > veterinary drug Staphage Lysate to human beings. Need further
    > evidence? He treats Lymes Disease with Actos, a diabetic medication
    > and does not understand how it works. That's because, in all
    > likelyhood, it is voodoo medicine. To make matters worse, the
    > cholesterol medication CSM that binds bilesalts to stools is treated
    > for a neurotoxin that he's NEVER isolated, for mold related disorders
    > he can't proove. The reason Dr. Shoemaker is dangerous is because he
    > prescribes medication based soley on theory and not scientific fact.
    > He is a mad quack. This is a physican who believes that because he
    > treated a woman with CSM and her headaches and lethargy went away that
    > it MUST BE related to a toxin; which is all theory and quackery, which
    > is something he can't proove. In all likelyhood, the reason the first
    > woman's symptoms went away after he treated her with CSM is because
    > she was no longer DEHYDRATED from diarrhea and thus felt better. But
    > this is going to seem too simple to you. You're going to scoff at
    > this. Fine. Dr. Shoemaker needs to proove it. The bottom line is, he
    > can't. And in all patients, placebo-affect is known to transcend
    > thirty percent of patients who think and want to feel better and most
    > importantly, HEAR it from a doctor. He may very well have isolated a
    > Pfisteria outbreak in Pockomoke. Good for him. But the idea that he
    > has a thriving business now based upon the idea that most CFS is
    > caused by neurtoxins is ridiculous. There is no proof. He treats
    > patients as if they were lab animals at his beck and call, under the
    > guise that he is doing them a favor. The tone in your text, suggesting
    > that the cockroaches will run for cover makes me think that you are a
    > fan of his; that's fine if you wish, but remember something, he may
    > very well be wrong.
