Hi Jill-
The doctor I mentioned that I see is in NYC actually. I am not sure of a specific lyme doc on Long
Island, but I know there are a few LLMD's out there. You would probably have luck going to
www.healingwell.com, (go to the Lyme forum), join, and ask folks there. It is a wonderful website.
If you want my doc and PA's (Physician Assistant's) number, let me know. Post me your e-mail address,
I'll write to you directly. By the way, there is a presentation that Burrascano is giving, for the NYC
Lyme support group on the 23rd of this month (June). Again, let me know if you can't find info on that
online, and I'll get it for you. I hope your mother is doing ok. And really good point- as a HS
student you are able to pick up on the desperation and red flags in the doc's writing/packet. Prior to
the establishment of relationship, he has these warnings 'don't screw me like others did'. Then gives
examples. Hey, I wish warnings like that worked. I wish relationships worked that way. Unfortunately
it works in reverse sometimes-- folks whom he is trying to ward off will be actually be attracted to a
self proclaimed 'victim'... they see someone who has been hurt before, hasn't gotten past it, wears it
on his sleeve... and they see a "Bullseye".
Yikes. I digressed.. working in the psychotherapy field I come to learn some very unpleasant things.
Anyway, I hope this information gets to you on time. Be well, Tracy
