Re: Dr. Ritchie Shoemaker

You guys should stick to the facts. Here is a fact for you:
My wife has been having severe symptoms for a number of years while seeing doctors who ran
only the standard tests. All turned up normal and they just prescribed her antidepressants,
migraine medications, etc while she has suffering and getting worse and worse. We heard a
different diagnosis and a different recommendation for treatment from each one of you
(fybromyalgia, migraines, IBS, etc). None of your treatments worked. She was so sick she was even
on Valium and didn't feel any better.
We saw at least TWENTY of you other doctors over the course of 3 years.
Shoemaker ran some advanced testing on the first appointment, and this helped him discover that
she had a rare blood coagulation disorder right away.
So, the proof is in the pudding. You can have all the theories you want but if the patient gets
better you are doing something right. If you were all so much smarter than Shoemaker why didn't
you diagnose it correctly?
I am a scientist and you guys are so imprecise that it is a miracle when you ever do make an
accurate diagnosis. You misuse science in every possible way and flat out guess when making a
diagnosis, playing russian roulette with people's lives. We got our first diagnosis from a doctor
just listening to our complex symptoms who ran no tests whatsoever. That's how you guys
normally practice medicine, so fix that first before focusing on Shoemaker.
Stuck up a-holes who can't even admit your wrong. Now I know why older more experienced
people have no faith in the medical system and don't go to a doctor unless they are dying.
