I originally posted on January 1, 2006. My loss occurred in 2004.
I have still not received a check for the contents of my home.
State Farm actually sued me to force me to go through their policy
mandated “appraisal” process. At the end of this process, State
Farm did not take the advice of their appraiser. A third appraiser,
or “umpire” as it is known in insurance speak, was brought in and
what was an obvious full loss was adjusted downward to an amount
that did not cover the required repairs to the home.
They have flatly denied the sinkhole claim even though the house had
major cracking in the concrete block. Additionally, five houses in
a row, to my immediate left, all had to have the foundations jacked
up and repaired.
This leaves me with a particularly tricky problem. I can’t rebuild
if the foundation is not repaired. They have denied that claim and
here I sit waiting for a trial while I pay for a rental home,
storage and my old mortgage. While the policy says they have to pay
for living expenses, they have only paid $7,000.00 for the last two
years of living expenses.
Most likely I will be going to trial some time in 2007. Therefore,
I am asking that anyone who has specific case information that could
shed light on the internal policies of State Farm, and, or any
documentation of abuses against policy holders, to send that
information to me at info@gcgus.com
I want to specifically encourage current and former State Farm
employees, adjusters and attorneys with specific knowledge of State
Farm's misconduct to come forward to expose these unfair business
practices.
Meanwhile, below I have listed some links with information about
specific cases involving State Farm. I hope these links are of some
value to those who visit this site in search of information about
State Farm’s business practices.

While this case is concerns auto insurance, the judge granted the
plaintiff‘s request for inclusion of RICO statutes. This could be a
basis for requesting RICO statutes to apply in property casualty
class action suit.

State Farm agents vs State Farm. Auto related, but the business
practices are similar to property casualty. It is the consistent
pattern of abuse that is important.

In the end, it is pure and unadulterated greed that is State Farm's
enemy – not its policy holders.
