It's been almost a year since I have posted to this site and
wanted to give a quick update in case anyone has been
following...
After John (DriRite) stood up at a public HOA meeting and
testified to the defects that were causing the mold
nightmare (aka moisture intrusion issues) at Il Villagio, he
also personally addressed the moisture issues and obvious
microbial growth issues in my unit. After going through my
unit and reviewing my allergies, health issues, air samples,
and other things... he was speechless for several minutes
and then said, "GET OUT NOW!"
So, I literally packed up enough clothing for a few weeks
for the family and left everything else behind. We moved to
a furnished condo for 6 months.
Within a month, almost every health problem I experienced
went away. My daughter's continuous bloody nose stopped.
The lesions on my legs and arms cleared up and went
away. ...The list goes on. (details in another post soon)
We won't be going back to Il Villagio until they figure out
what's wrong and do something about it and John can confirm
that it will be safe for my family to live there again.
At one time, I didn't have all of the facts about DriRite,
and I'm sorry if I posted something that may not have been
true. If it had not been for John, I'd probably still be
living there, and my daughter and I would probably still be
very sick.
I don't have all of the answers to what's going on in those
condos, but I do know that they made me very sick and since
I have moved, I have not been sick.
....John, I hope one day you will be reading this, I'm
sorry, and THANK YOU for everything you have done for my
family and for me. I can't put a pricetag on our health,
but know that I owe you big time and we are very grateful.
