Were you at the board meeting recently to hear the discussion?
Which building do you live in? I will personally take you on a
guided tour of the outside of your building so that you can see
for yourself how the moisture problem that leads to microbial
growth can occur.
You are correct, there are proper, professional, and legal ways to
handle the mold concern. What makes you think that it hasn't been
addressed in such a manner and repeatedly ignored? What is your
suggestion on how to address the issue?
I have personally sent DOZENS of letters and emails to our HOA
board and the developer. I have spent hundreds of hours
researching and talking to experts and providing documentation and
access to these resources to our property manager and HOA board.
I have spent countless hours talking with the property manager to
assist in having the issue addressed by the board. I have asked
for a committee prior to the board meeting and was denied, I have
asked for the board to privately address the issue and just simply
listen to experts so that they are aware of their options. I was
told that I would be given 3 minutes to speak at a board meeting
after I demanded to be heard on the issue that concerns MOST of
our condos. The HOA president and her sidekick purposely went
around taking down notices of the board meeting so that people
would NOT come. She told the property manager to post a sign to
cancel the meeting and lock the door 20 minutes before the
commencement of the meeting stating that the notice wasn't up 48
hours in advance when my husband personally made sure of it and we
have video surveillence cameras that can PROVE this!
I can't afford to "fix" my entire building and I shouldn't have
to. I can't "fix" JUST my condo without "fixing" the ENTIRE
building. I don't understand why that's so hard for you to
understand?
If you have documentation other than your personal opinion (unless
you are a qualified expert) that proves otherwise, that would be
extremely beneficial to this case. Bring it over so I can make
things right and apologize to the entire community and stop
wasting my time trying to help the people that are affected by
this crisis. (unit 1404)
How else would you suggest going about resolving the problem other
than what was done?
