Re: Mold Remediation Nightmare - Dririte, Jacksonville, FL

I worked for these guys last year in Jacksonville. If you
are worried that they did a substandard job, I hate to say
it but you are most likely right. In defense of their
workers I have to say that some of them are well trained,
knowledgeable and take pride in their job. But the higher
ups at Dririte made us take so many “shortcuts” that most
jobs we didn’t do to a level that I would call
satisfactory. One of the major complaints among the teams
was that if a job would take six hours to do right, a
certain Aussie, who shall remain nameless would give you
perhaps 4. If it wasn’t done completely, oh well, spray some
bleach on it and make it look good around the edges (that is
one of their tricks). Then he would inspect it and guess
what, it passed every time. It would not have taken much
longer to do the right thing and do a quality job.
My advice to you is if they have worked on your unit, you
should hire a third party inspector to test. Dririte will
resist this but that doesn’t matter, it is your house. Then
if, or I should say when, the results come back bad you
should make them do it right or lobby your builder to get
another more responsible remediation company to take
over.
