    Ferry Mold

Portland, ME: (Nov-18-07) Scotia Prince, the owners of the
former Portland to Nova Scotia ferry service, brought
charges against the city of Portland, alleging that mold
allegedly forced the company out of the International
Marine Terminal in 2004. As part of a settlement reached,
sources confirmed that the Portland City Council will vote
to pay $1.2 million to the ship’s former owners to resolve
allegations. The figure, including legal fees, is said to
touch the $3.6 million mark. In view of the facts, city
manager Joe Gray said it could have cost a lot more to
settle the suit. City officials stated that they are
looking for ways to make up the money that it has had to
pay out to resolve the lawsuit.
